I decided to build a small herb garden inside the new orchard.
Ceramic pots retaining smell.
Much closer than the actual vegetable garden which is a good 100 metre walk away.
Does anyone have ideas for how to remove the smell.
I would love to use it for making jam as i have come perilously close to disastrous hot spillovers in my regular 4q pan.
Whenever i cook or use a strong smelling condiment my dishes always pick up the smell i can never get the odor out.
Hi i have a pot that was raku fired with a large amount of none glazed area and it sat for days without being washed off.
It smells like chicken stock.
Do i need to repot every pot which came in contact with the same water or just the bad pots.
Ceramic glazes preserve your pottery and tile s coloring and also adds a layer of protection from small scratches.
Oddly enough all of the soil in these pots is less then a few months old no more then 5 6 months.
It stinks you know like ash or burning paper really strong.
They have been delayed twice now.
The glazed coating presents a problem though.
As an anthropology and archaeology student in college with an art history minor i learned to mak.
I know this is due to sulfur bacteria residing in the soil but my question is.
Paint cannot stick to smooth glazed coating.
A small dab of bleach in the water was suggested but after trying this my stepson told me the dishes just smell like bleach plus the food smell.
Ive scrubbed it used soap white vinegar baking soda b.
I have a dilemma with my dishes.
But my stockpot shows its main use.
